Padbol merges the glass-wall geometry of padel with foot and body striking, creating a unique 2v2 game where positioning and wall-reading are as important as technique. CourtDraw's padbol board helps coaches diagram net dominance principles, explain the wall rebound angles unique to padbol's smaller court, and plan training drills before the session starts.

The padbol court is smaller than a padel court and fully enclosed with glass walls and a metallic grid. The shorter distances make net dominance even more critical โ the team at the net can volley almost anything before it reaches the back glass. Position diagrams on CourtDraw help players understand the key positioning principles: both players in the attacking formation should be roughly 1โ1.5 metres from the net, covering the width of the court without leaving the central gap unprotected.
Padbol's back and side glass walls create rebound combinations that are almost impossible to explain without a diagram. A ball struck at a side glass at a 45-degree angle will rebound across the court and, if hit with the right pace, reach the opposite back glass. Key combinations to diagram:
The attacking formation in padbol โ both players at the net, volleying aggressively โ is won or lost on communication. Draw the coverage zones for each player: the right-net player covers their half plus the central corridor, the left-net player mirrors. When an opponent's ball is coming cross-court, the near-net player calls and attacks while the partner holds position to cover the rebound. Diagram this communication on the board and players start making the calls automatically in matches.
Because padbol is a relatively new sport, many coaches are also learning the tactical concepts alongside their players. CourtDraw is ideal for planning drills before the session: draw the feeding position, the movement paths, and the target zones for each drill. Players who see the drill diagrammed before they execute it make fewer positioning errors and need less corrective coaching mid-drill.
